1 tsp salt
1.5 cups sugar (regular or brown)
4 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup low fat yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1 Tbsp Vanilla
1 oz milk (1%)
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
Cinnamon/sugar mix (optional)*
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)


How Do I Make Celia's Banana Bread?

Here is how you make Celia's Banana Bread:

Makes 24 2 inch pieces/slices.Preheat oven to 350F.Mash bananas with a fork in large bowl. Add salt, sugar, vanilla, eggs, oil, yogurt, stirring until combined. Add whole wheat flour one cup at a time. Do not over mix batter. Add nuts if desired. Dissolve baking powder and baking soda in milk prior to adding them to the batter. Stir until combined. Place on 2 greased/floured* glass pie dishes. Bake at 350F for 5 minutes. Lower temperature to 325F and bake another 20-25 min until a knife comes out clean when inserted in the middle.*optional: I like to use a sugar/cinnamon mix instead of the flour to coat the bottom of the dish.
