Dates, 1.5 cup, pitted, chopped
*Canola Oil, 3 tbsp or Flax oil
Maple Syrup, 3 tbsp or Honey, or Agave necter
Apple juice, unsweetened, .1 cup
Organic Sugar, .25 cup Note: you can substitute finely shredded coconut for the sugar to roll the date balls in

In blender pulse grind sunflower seeds into meal consistency (could use nuts but so many kids alergic these days!) Add them to large mixing bowlAdd in milk powder & soy powder , & coaco powderIn blender pulse grind flax into a meal an add to bowlAdd sunflower seed butter or peanut butter (etc) In blender add chopped & pitted dates, oil, maple syrup, and apple juice and pulse grind. May need to stop and stir the mix from time to time until the mixture has been completly groundCombine the date mixture into the mixing bowl, with the seed or nut butter and slowly work them together. Will take a bit - may need to use hands. Form small balls (fit snuggly into a tbsp)Roll in organic sugar crystals or fine shredded coconut.
