How Do I Make Peanut and Chocolate Protein bars?

Here is how you make Peanut and Chocolate Protein bars:

Pulse peanuts in a food processor until very coarsely ground, you still want big pieces. Alternately, put them in a baggie and hit with a rolling pin until broken up.Mix peanuts and all dry ingredients together. Mix brown rice syrup and peanut butter, then add to dry ingredients. Mix together until small lumps form and most dry ingredients have been incorporated (this is kind of tough work and takes quite a bit of mixing). Add 2-3 tbsp of water and mix until all ingredients are moist and mixture can be formed. Go as light on water as possible, it's just there to moisten the oats and protein powder, too much and the bars won't hold together. Form into bars about the length and width of two middle fingers. (approximately 1"x 3.5"). You may need to sprinkle a tiny bit more water to form the last few bars as the dry ingredients tend to settle as you work. Should yield around 10 bars. Allow one hour to set and dry out a bit. Wrap each bar in wax paper or parchment and place them in baggies or airtight container to store. Should hold for about 10 days without refrigeration. Optionally, dip bottom of bars or drizzle with melted chocolate.Serving Size: Makes about 10 barsNumber of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user MSANGELSTARR.
