Here is how you make Crunchy Granola:

Makes 20 Servings. One Serving is 1/2 Cup.Recipe by Kathleen DaelemansPreheat oven to 275 degrees.Chop pecans (if needed - I keep a big bag in the fridge)Combime oats and pecans in a large mixing bowl.In a separate microwave proof bowl combine brown sugar & water.Microwave on high for 1 minute or until sugar is completely dissolved.Remove from microwave. Add vanilla extract & salt to this bowl.Pour mixture over oats & nuts. Stir well.Pour granola onto a large cookie sheet (or 2 small ones). Spread into a thin layer.Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour until granola is golden & somewhat crunchy.As it cool, it will become more crunchy.Break apart & store in an airtight container.Number of Servings: 20Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user JENA0809.
