Boil for approximately 1 hour. When meat is done, remove from pot and de-bone and cut into bite sized pieces. Return to pot.Add all vegetables and spices (everything except sour cream and cabbage). Simmer for approximately 2 hours or more (the longer the better).Because cabbage cooks very quickly, don't add it until about 1/2 hour before the borscht is done. The more potato added the redder the borscht will be. The potatoes absorb the color from the beets.Serve with Sour Cream.
