Made this up on a cold winter night. Cleaned out the pantry. I add the cheese, chips, and sour cream on top, Goldfish crackers or Cheez its or Fritos are good too. If I had it, I'd add some green pepper, real onion, or jalepeno chunks.

If you're using dried beans, rehydrate them first, then brown the ground beef, add the onions and seasonings (and any other peppers you're using, now or when simmering).Once the beef is browned, pour the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes into a kettle, add the meat, mushrooms, lime juice, and beans. Let simmer for 1-2 hours. Scoop into bowls, top as desired, and enjoy.
