What Are The Ingredients For Co-op Vegetarian Chili Recipe?The ingredients for Co-op Vegetarian Chili are: Dry beans:3 c kidney 3 c black 3 c garbanzo 1 c navy 1 c pinto 2 lbs onions 4 cloves garlic 2 lbs peppers 3 1/3 lbs tomatoes (if fresh, add 2 cups water, if canned, keep juice) 3 1/3 lbs tomato sauce 1/2 c chili powder 1 lb corn 4 T oregano 2 t cayenne 1T cumin 1/8 cup packed brown sugar 1/8 cup cocoa salt and pepper to taste 4 Cups TVP How Do I Make Co-op Vegetarian Chili?Here is how you make Co-op Vegetarian Chili: Rinse, soak, and cook beans (make sure to soak the garbanzos longer, and keep the navy beans seperate if you want them to stay white). If you plan to use cans, plan for one can for each cup of beans, and rinse off all that salt! Set aside.In a large pot, saute onions and garlic in 1 tbsp oil until almost clear. Continue to saute with peppers for 2-3 minutes. Add beans and all remaining ingredients (save corn and TVP) to pot and simmer until heated throughout. Add liquid as needed to prevent scorching the bottom of the pot.
