1.0 cup, chopped Carrots, raw

1.0 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter, salted

Here is how you make Sausage and corn chowder:

Heat both oils in bottom of pot & add diced trilogy & peppers. Saute for 5 mins then add diced meat. Continue stirring for another 5 mins before adding broth. Stir & season w/ thyme, marjoram, dried onion, garlic powder, pepper, chives. Cut potatoes & add; allow to cook while carrots, celery & potatoes soften. Chill water & measure out cornstarch. Add 1/2 C water to pan after mixing slurry. Pour thickner in pot, stir & add soy milk. Also add corn. Keep cooking on low simmer for 10 or 15 mins. Add pat of butter while mixture thickens. Continue cooking then turn off heat & cover. Allow flavors to meld overnight. Serve w/ oyster or Club crackers, or garlic bread. Chowder will thicken slightly when cooled.
