2 tsp Wyler's Sodium Free Chicken Flavor Boullion Powder
2 cups water
2 cups skim milk
4 large potatoes, diced
1/4 cup nonfat milk powder (for thickening if needed)

2 Tbsp Smart Balance Light
4 cloves garlic, minced (didnt' have fresh so I used 2 tsp minced from a jar)
1 pound frozen shrimp (thawed, per pkg directions,) peeled, deveined
Seafood Seasoning (to taste)
1 medium onion, diced


1 can (approx 2 cups) cream corn
1 bag frozen corn, approx 2 cups
4oz can diced green chilis

1/2 tbsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp black pepper
1.5 tsp salt

Cheese or bacon bits optional, not in nutritional info.

Here is how you make Steph2003's Shrimp and Corn Chowder:

Makes 12, 1 cup servingsIn large pot mix water and boullion powder, add diced potatoes and bring to a boil. Add skim milk. boil for approx 15 min (until potatoes are tender)While potatoes are boiling heat skillet and add 1 tbsp of butter and saute the minced garlic for 3-5 minutes, then add other tbsp of butter (if needed) and thawed de-tailed shrimp, sprinkle seafood seasonings on shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally. When shrimp is almost done add diced onions and cook an additional 3-5 minutes until tender. Set aside, do not add to potatoes, yet. Add corn and chilis to potatoes, stir. Remove 2-3 cups of the chunky mixture and puree in a blender, then add back to pot, also adding the shrimp mixture and the salt, red and black peppers. If the texture is not thick enough for you add nonfat powdered milk.Simmer, an additional 10-15 minutes (or more) for flavors to blend.
