Here is how you make Robin's Lentil Soup:

Saute onion, carrot, celery in 1 Tbsp of Oil until tender. Add lentils and chicken broth and bring boil; turn down and simmer 10 minutes. Add potatoes, ham, bay leaves and rosemary and continue simmering until potatoes and lentils are soft - approx 20 minutes. This will thicken, so add additional 3 cups of water, or more, depending on how brothy you like it.
