Add the tomatoes and all the rest of ingredients, bring to a boil, cover and shimmer for an hour or more...I used tomatoes w/salt, if not it a bit bland... but very delicious and nutritive.... and if you use canned chicken broth, leave the same amount of water out...Gives 6 portion of a cup each, but I usually eat more since it is so good and low in fat and calories...
