2lbs. ground, free-range, hormone free turkey (optional - increase the amount of beans and corn if making this without meat)
25 oz. can of organic kidney beans
28 oz can of organic diced tomatoes
6 oz. can of organic tomato paste
2 large organic onions
6 organic garlic cloves
10 oz bag organic corn

2 tbsp grape seed oil for cooking onions and garlic (I put olive oil above for the calorie calculation, but did not use OO - it becomes toxic when cooked at high heat so I use organic grape seed oil for recipes like this)
2 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp cumin
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

Here is how you make Ren's Turkey Chili:

chop onions into half inch pieces and saute onions in grape seed oil (1-2 tsp) until cooked and golden brown and set asidesaute diced garlic cloves (6 total) until brown and then add 2 lbs. of lean turkey and cook until done, breaking up the turkey into small pieces as it cooksadd onions back to garlic-turkey mix and then add 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, 25 oz can of kidney beans and 10 oz bag frozen cornmix 6 oz can of tomato paste with about 1 cup of water (it's easier if you do this in about 2-3 steps and not all at once).
