1 tsp. vanilla

Prep:Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour one 10" tube panCake:Sift all dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar; beat eggs into wet mixture one egg at a time. Add the pureed squash to wet mixture; mix well. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture alternately with milk. Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.Cool for 45 minutes.Frosting:Bring brown sugar, butter, and cream to a boil. Cook, while stirring, for 2 mintues. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Transfer to mixing bowl and let cool until lukewarm. Beat in icing sugar until it reaches spreading consistency.
