Here is how you make German Chocolate Cake - Gluten Free:

Add cocoa powder with the melted butter and mix together. Beat egg whites together until stiff peaks form, set aside. In a separate bowl mix together 2 whole eggs, 8 yolks, coconut milk, sugar, salt and vanilla. Stir in cocoa mixture. Whisk coconut flour into batter until there are no lumps. Fold egg whites into batter. Pour batter into greased 13 x 9 greased pan. Bake at 350F for 45-50 mins or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Cool.
