Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly; stir in pecans. Combine pumpkin and half-and-half; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 4 or 5 times. (Add more flour if dough is sticky.) Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
