Here is how you make Acorn Squash with Apple Stuffing:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut squash and scoop out seeds and membrane (seeds may be saved for other uses). After removing a thin slice from the bottom of each half, balance the squash halves in a baking dish and fill each with the apple pieces. Add 1/4 cup water to bottom of dish. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Combine maple syrup or honey with butter; microwave for 15 seconds or until melted together. Stir to mix well. Remove foil from squash and drain any remaining water from pan. Evenly divide butter mixture and pour on each squash half. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake until tender, about 15 more minutes. Serve hot from the oven.
