What Are The Ingredients For Flakey Biscuits Recipe?The ingredients for Flakey Biscuits are: 1 cup all-purpose flour1 cup whole wheat flour 3 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup milk 2 eggs How Do I Make Flakey Biscuits?Here is how you make Flakey Biscuits: Makes about 12 3" biscuitsPreheat Oven to 350FSift flours, powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Using a pastry cutter, cut the butter or margerine into the flour mixture until crumbly and all lumps are pea-sized or smaller. Make a well in the center with your spatula and pour in milk and eggs. Beat wet ingredients with a fork until thoroughly mixed. Fold the flour in until just incorporated. Flour your rolling pin and board, and roll the dough out to about 1/2" thick. Fold the dough in thirds and then in half and roll out again. Repeat this process once or twice (the more folding the flakier the biscuits!) Roll out a final time and cut with a glass or biscuit cutter. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 12 biscuits. Delicious with cashew gravy, or just honey or jam! This is one of my family's staples for weekend breakfasts.
