What Are The Ingredients For Chili, Vegan (MW) (1 c serv) Recipe?The ingredients for Chili, Vegan (MW) (1 c serv) are: 1 package (12 oz) Smart Ground crumbles1/3 c bulghar 1 small (15oz?) can tomato sauce, no salt added 1-1/2 (22oz?) cans water 4 cloves crushed garlic 1-1/3 cup chopped onion 1-1/3 cup chopped celery 1-1/3 cup chopped or sliced carrots 1-1/3 cup green beans (ends removed; in bite-size pieces) 2 15-oz cans kidney beans, low sodium, drained 1/2 Tablespoon (each) dried cumin, oregano, cayenne powder & paprika 2 Tablespoons chili powder 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 28-oz can crushed tomatos 1 small (15oz?) can tomato sauce, no salt added 1/2 cup red wine 1-2/3 c chopped tomatos juice of 1/2 lemon How Do I Make Chili, Vegan (MW) (1 c serv)?Here is how you make Chili, Vegan (MW) (1 c serv): 1. Put one can tomato sauce and the water in a 3-qt saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat. Add Smart Ground crumbles & bulghar, stir once, and let sit. The crumbles & bulghar will absorb all the liquid over time.2. Spray a large nonstick skillet with olive oil and bring to a medium heat. Add garlic and stir, 30 seconds or until aromatic. Add onions and cook five minutes. Add carrots, celery and green beans and cook five more minutes.3. SLOW COOKER -- transfer the vegetables & the crumbles/bulghar mixture to a large 6 quart slow cooker, add all of the remaining ingredients except the chopped fresh tomatoes and lemon juice, and cook on low for at least 6 hours (can be longer). About an hour before you eat, add the chopped tomatos & lemon & let it continue to cook.4. STOVE TOP - transfer the vegetables & the crumbles/bulghar mixture to a large 6-8 quart stockpot. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the chopped fresh tomatoes and lemon juice, and bring to a very (very) gentle simmer. Set a timer so that, every 20 minutes, you will be reminded to stir the mixture - otherwise, it may stick & burn. Cook for at least 4 hours. About 30 minutes before you eat, add the chopped tomatos & lemon & let it continue to cook.
