Here is how you make Mom's cinnamon rolls:

Dissolve yeast in warm water, add sugar, let stand for 5 minutes.Add shortening, eggs, and half the flour. Let stand for 20 minutes.Add remaining flour and stir until well mixed.Let rise in refrigerator for several hours. Remove and divide in half. Roll each half out to a large rectangle (about 12 x 18 inches), spread with melted butter/margarine and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture over evenly. Roll up like a jelly roll then cut into 8 slices. Place on a baking sheet with raised sides that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Let rise overnight in refrigerator. Take rolls out of refrigerator about 1/2 hour before baking. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown.
