How Do I Make Egg in a hole?

Here is how you make Egg in a hole:

Pre-warm up your pan on medium heat. Butter your bread on both sides. If the butter is cold, cut a pat and melt it in the pan so it covers the pan enough for your bread with a little extra. Cut a hole out of your bread by pressing into it with the lip of a drinking glass. Put both the slice of bread and the cut out piece in the pan. Crack an egg carefully into the hole. Let it fry until it is solid enough to get a spatula underneath and flip it. To keep the other side of the egg from sticking, try to tilt your pan so some of the extra butter fills in the space. Continue frying until egg reaches desired doneness. Add your slice of tomato to the pan, just so it is warm by the time your egg is done. I put the tomato on top of the finished egg and cut the whole thing up into little pieces, so I can get tomato, bread, and egg in each bite. I also like to add a little taco sauce or sriracha.Serving Size: 1 servingNumber of Servings: 1Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user AUBRIANE.
