4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup honey
1/4 canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup coarse chopped almonds
1/2 tsp. salt


How Do I Make Granola?

Here is how you make Granola:

Mix the dry ingredients together and set aside. Mix the honey, oil, and extract together in another bowl. Add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. The liquids will be absorbed and the granola will become darker. Spread the granola in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 325 for 10 minutes. Use a spatula and turn the granola on the baking sheet. Place the granola back in the oven for another 10 minutes or until fairly dry and starting to brown.*Granola will become crispier and crunchier as it cools.*Because of the oil, the granola will not stay fresh for a long time.
