* Sunflower Seeds, without salt, 1 cup, hulled
* Blueberries, dried, 1 cup


How Do I Make Leann's Homemade Granola?

Here is how you make Leann's Homemade Granola:

I preheat the oven to 250 degreesput sugar and water in saucepan and heat it to boiling. Let it boil one minute and then add the butter a little at a time. Whisk until smooth and fully melted.In large bowl put oats, nuts, salt, cinnamon and seeds. Toss together. Add the honey and toss again. Add the sugar mixture you cooked on the stovetop and stir it until everything is incorporated. Put on a large sheet pan or two and bake at 250 degree for about half an hour and then turn off. I let it sit in the oven overnight. Once it is done I toss the granola with the blueberries (or other dried fruit) and then store in airtight container.This recipe makes about 20 to 25 1/2 cup servings.It is great with lowfat yogurt and fresh fruit.
