1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 (5.5oz can) tomato paste
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup vodka
4 cups penne pasta
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Here is how you make Penne Pasta with Vodka Sauce:

Heat oil in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic and "sizzle" it until onion is translucent (don't let garlic get brown). Stir in half and half, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and vodka. Simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cooke penne according to package. Stir 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese into tomato sauce mixture.
