Here is how you make Steen's Vegetable Soup:

Chop/slice all your veggies. Melt the margarine in a large saucepan and cook veggies with garlic and thyme. Add the canned diced tomatoes, beans and potatoes. Add the broth and top off with water. Add the salt and pepper (to taste). Stir. Cook on medium heat to bring the soup to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer soup for the remainder of the cooking time.
