Here is how you make Crockpot Candied Acorn Squash:

Cut the acorn squash in half. It's easier if you microwave the squash for a minute on high to soften the skin. Then use a knife to cut off the stem and slice the squash in half. Scoop out the seeds and discard. In a small mixing bowl, combine the cut up apple, melted butter, brown sugar, nuts, salt and cinnamon. Scoop into the acorn halves and place them into the empty crockpot - skin side down. It's okay to stack them.
