Melt butter in a sauce pan. Add almonds and cook until brown. Take sauce pan off heat and add sugar. Stir to coat almonds and transfer to wax paper to cool. Mix cabbage and carrots together in a bowl. Add almonds and mix well. Add dressing one tablespoon at a time. The dressing should light and not overly heavy.
