8 oz 93% Lean Ground Beef
2 cup Beans, red kidney
2 cup Beans, black
16 fl oz Tomato juice, without salt added or V-8
1 tsp Cumin Powder
2 tbsp Chili powder
1 serving 1 Med. Green Bell Pepper
1 large Onions, raw


How Do I Make Mom's Perfect Chili?

Here is how you make Mom's Perfect Chili:

Soak beans overnight, or put in pan with extra water boil 10 minutes & let soak for 30 minutes. Rinse and boil till tender. Brown beef or turkey, set aside. Chop onion & sautee in pan with 1 Tbl olive oil. Add onion & chopped green pepper to a Dutch oven, crock pot or quick cooker. Add meat. I actually use low sodium V-8 juice for a better flavor rather than just tomato juice. Add juice, and spices. Cook 3-4 hours, crock pot on low for 8-10 hours. Add salt & pepper if preferred.
