Here is how you make simple chili:

Chop the onion and the pepper. Use a 6 qt pan on medium heat. Salute them a few minutes in a tablespoon of refined coconut oil. (Or whatever oil you want) Add seasonings to taste, I used cumin, basil, and chili powder. When vegetables are tender and seasonings are fragrant, add the meat, turn down heat to med low, cover the kettle, and let it simmer about five minutes, stirring a couple of times to break up the meat and let it all blend together. When meat is no longer pink, add the two cans of stewed tomatoes, one can of black beans, and one can of tomato sauce. Stir to combine, recover. Bring it to a simmer, and re-cover. Let it cook on low for five-ten minutes. Serve with a tablespoon of greek yogurt and some fresh cilantro. Serving Size: Makes enough for 4 hearty servings. I use two cups of chili for a serving.
