This originated from my mother in law- I doctored it up to be a little more calorie friendly, using fat free half and half, margarine and turkey bacon and removing the salt pork. Her version is absolutely fabulous, mine is pretty good too.

1 LB package of Turkey Bacon
1 large Onion (chopped)
3 LBS Potatoes (chopped small)
3 cans of creamed style corn
2 TBS parsley
1 Tsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 Pint of fat free half and half


How Do I Make Amy's Corn Chowder?

Here is how you make Amy's Corn Chowder:

Sautee Bacon and onion is 1 TBS of margarine (or light butter), add potatoes, then cover with water and bring to a boil (then boil for 15 minutes). Add corn, parsley, sugar, salt. and pepper and simmer for another 15 minutes. Remove from heat.Add half and half, stirring immediately.
