Add onion, stirring until translucent, add chopped potatoes and stir frequently for about 5 minutes. Slowly add 2 cups of skim milk. Stir well, let kettle sit until milk begins to boil, add 2 more cups of milk, stir well. Take the remaining 2 cups of milk, add approximately 1/4 cup of corn starch to milk and stir well. When milk in kettle starts to boil again,add remaining milk, and sweet corn to kettle. Stir well. Soup will thicken. Serves 8 soup bowls.
