Rinse lentils and add to pot.Add barley to pot.Next cook ground turkey in a pan with above mentioned seasonings or your choice of seasonings. Cook on MedHi stirring occasionally to be sure turkey is crumbled and fully cooked. While turkey is cooking chop up the butternut squash, onions and garlic. Once turkey is close to being done turn the heat on the large pot to MedHi stirring occasionally. Turn heat off of turkey once it is fully cooked and set aside.Add onions and garlic then after about 10 minutes add the cooked ground turkey. Continue to stir occasionally. After about 20 minutes add the chopped squash and continue to stir occasionally. At this point you will want to alternate between MedHi heat and Med heat based on when the soup starts to boil a lot. Once you lower the heat then stir again and cover. Leave covered, stirring occasionally for about another 30 minutes or until lentils are no longer hard.
