What Are The Ingredients For Kale Pastries Recipe?

The ingredients for Kale Pastries are:

.5 cup Canola Oil
3.5 cup Flour, white
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
1 tsp Salt
.25 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
2 cup Cooked Kale
1 tsp Ginger Root
1 tsp Garlic
2 1tsp Olive Oil


How Do I Make Kale Pastries?

Here is how you make Kale Pastries:

Saute garlic & ginger. Add kale, then a splash of water. Simmer, covered, until kale is tender. Dough: mix oil, water, salt & flour in mixer. Roll out 1/4" thick and cut out in circles. Take circles, add 1 Tbsp filling and close into a triangle shape (like a hamantaschen) or other desired shape. Seal. I added extra blobs of dough on top to cover up the weak seams. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 400 for 25 min. Serving Size: Makes 18 pastriesNumber of Servings: 18Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user ZILLYONS.
