(Or two bags of whatever "ready-mix" greens you like. My sister-in-law uses romaine and baby spinach) 3 celery stalks, finely sliced 3 green onions, sliced 1 large OR 2 small cans Mandarin oranges, drained & chilled Sugared Almonds: 3/4 cup slivered almonds 3T sugar How Do I Make Orange-Almond Salad?Here is how you make Orange-Almond Salad: Dressing: (Make at least one day ahead of time, and refrigerate). Combine all in bottle or jar, shake well, refrigerate. (Be sure to shake really well before mixing with salad.Sugared Almonds: Put sugar and almonds in a medium-size fry pan and stir constantly over medium heat until sugar melts and coats the nuts evenly, and nuts are light golden brown. Do NOT let burn. Remove from heat, dump almonds onto wax paper (I dump onto stoneware) and quickly break apart with your fingers, but be careful, they're really hot! Let them cool, then keep in a ziplock bag until ready to mix salad.Just before serving, toss all ingredients in salad bowl with the dressing.
