What Are The Ingredients For Sunrise Salad Recipe?The ingredients for Sunrise Salad are: 2 cups romaine lettuce, shredded2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded 1 can mandarin oranges (in light juice) 1 avocado, skinned/deseeded and diced 2 tbsp light mayonnaise 1/4 cup slivered almonds, roasted 1/4 cup dried black currants 1 granny smith apple, peeled/deseeded and diced finely 1/4 cup orange juice How Do I Make Sunrise Salad?Here is how you make Sunrise Salad: Roast the slivered almonds in the oven until they pick up a nice roasted flavor. Alternately, heat them in a pan on the stove until they pick up that roasted flavor.Drain the can of oranges, reserving the light juice inside. Put juice into a bowl, and add the 1/4 cup orange juice to it (making approx. 1/2 cup total). Slice the oranges in half, adding them back to the bowl of juice.Dice avocado, placing it into the bowl with the juice and orange slices so that it doesn't turn brown. Dice the apple, and also add that to the bowl of juice so it doesn't brown.Shred the lettuce, putting it into a larger bowl. To this, add the almonds, black currants, and the avocado/orange slices (straining out the liquid). Stir gently.To the bowl with the remaining juice, add the 2 tbsp of mayonnaise. Whisk to combine thoroughly, then pour overtop of the salad and fold in.
