1.5 T Honey
2 t. flour
1/4 c. fat-free, lower-sodium organic chicken broth
2 T Apple Cider Vinegar
3 slices bacon (lower fat/cal content w/ center cut)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 T green onion
black pepper (to taste)


How Do I Make Warm Bacon Salad Dressing?

Here is how you make Warm Bacon Salad Dressing:

Whisk together the mustard, honey, flour, chicken broth, and vinegar. Cut, with kitchen scissors, the bacon into very small strips. Bring a medium-sized saute pan to medium-high heat. Cook bacon for about 5 minutes, or until it is just before crispy. In a small-sized saute pan, transfer bacon (not the fat) and add garlic and onion. Cook for about 1 minute. Whisk in other mixture. Let cool to just warm and serve over a fresh spinach salad. You can also add a cheese to the salad, but I would use chunks rather than shredded because the warmth of the dressing will melt the shredded too much.Makes 2-3 generous servings.Number of Servings: 2.5Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user DANIES.
