*Prepare macaroni per box instructions, cooking until al dente. Drain well; set aside.*Grate onion into a large bowl*Add shrimp and macaroni to bowl; mix well.*Add miracle whip; mix until coated.*Salt and pepper to taste.*Refrigerate 3 hours before serving. Refrigerate overnight for best taste. (Tastes better the longer the flavors can marinate together.)*Before serving, add a small bit of Miracle Whip to moisten salad, if needed.
