What Are The Ingredients For Tita's Tobouli Salad Recipe?The ingredients for Tita's Tobouli Salad are: 1 cup bulgar cracked wheat1 large ripe tomato 3 stalks celery 1 large cucumber or two small (with seeds removed) 1 cup parsley (loosely packed) 3 green onions 1/2 cup lemon juice (from concentrate or freshly squeezed) 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil How Do I Make Tita's Tobouli Salad?Here is how you make Tita's Tobouli Salad: Soak the 1 cup cracked wheat in about 2 cups HOT water for about 10 minutes or until swollen. While the cracked wheat is soaking, chop/dice the rest of the vegetables as small or as large as you like. I like to chop and dice fairly small so it's easier to eat. To remove the seeds from the cucumber, cut it in half long ways, take a spoon and rake it down the middle of the cucumber where the seeds appear to remove them. Once the wheat has soaked until it's swollen, squeeze or drain as much water out of the cracked wheat as possible.In a serving bowl place all the chopped and diced vegetables along with the drained cracked wheat. Mix it all together adding the 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice.
