Here is how you make Tessa's Butternut Squash and Apple Soup:

Peel and cube squash, place in 9x13 baking dish with 1-2 cm of water. Sprinkle with brown sugar, bake until soft (at least 1 hr). Meanwhile, saute onion, carrot and garlic until translucent. Add diced apple. Transfer squash and water + saute mixture to large saucepan. Add broth and milk, as well as salt, pepper, pumpkin spice mix and rosemary. Heat, but be careful that the milk doesn't burn. Let simmer on low 20-30 minutes. Blend well.
