The ingredients for "Any" Bean Soup are:

6 cans of beans, any combination you like
1 c light cream or half and half
4 cups of chicken broth
1 medium onion, chopped
0.5 c chopped carrots
1 Tbls butter
8 - 10 oz smoked ham or ham hocks (use the amount you choose for your taste)
1 Bay leaf
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Chop the onions and carrots, add butter to carrots and onions to a microwave bowl, microwave for about 3 minutes (settings vary, look for your fresh vegetables setting). Add the beans (undrainded), chicken broth, cooked onions & carrots, ham and spices to the crock pot. Cook for 2 to 3 hours or longer if you want it to cook down more. Add the cream and heat through just before serving the soup. Enjoy!!
