If using dry beans soak overnight in cold water. Drain & rinse. (or follow instructions on back of package).Chop vegetables.Saute carrots, onions,& celery until just soft. Add chicken base and thyme. Add water & beans .Get to a soft boil and simmer for 2 to 4 hours adding water as needed. Add ham towards end of cooking time.Serving Size:?20- 1 cup servings
