Rinse and sort 2 cups of dry navy beans.Put them in a large Pot bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Let soak for 1 hour.After soaking beans, rinse and add 6 cups water to beans. Bring to a boil, then lower to simmer.Simmer beans for 1 hour, keeping a watchful eye on them, stirring and adding water as needed.Add celery, carrots, onions, potato and ham, chicken broth and curry powder.
