How Do I Make Hearty Beef and Barley Soup?

Here is how you make Hearty Beef and Barley Soup:

Spray frying pan with Pam. Brown beef. While browning beef, chop up the carrots, onions, celery (1 to 1 1/2 inch diameter peices). Place in a large pot. Put browned beef in with veggies. Cover with water and simmer till carrots are 1/2 cooked or 30 minutes. Put in chopped potatoes and simmer 20 minutes. Toss in cooked barley (or toss barley uncooked in 30 minutes before potatoes). In the last 5 minutes toss in cabbage. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes.
