What Are The Ingredients For Nourishing Cauliflower Soup Recipe?The ingredients for Nourishing Cauliflower Soup are: 1 med head of cauliflower, chopped1/2 head of cabbage (about 8-10 oz), shredded 1/2 med onion, shredded 1 med carrot, shredded 1 med potato (approx 6 oz), peeled & diced 32 oz Chicken Stock 1 cup milk (I used whole for this recipe) 2 T butter 1/4-1/2 t salt or to taste 1/4-1/2 t pepper or to taste 1/8-1/4 t garlic powder 1/8 t Natures Seasonings, optional 1/8 t turmeric, optional How Do I Make Nourishing Cauliflower Soup?Here is how you make Nourishing Cauliflower Soup: After you have prepped your vegetables, heat your soup pot & add 2 T butter.Once melted, add your shredded vegetables: cabbage, onion, carrot + potatoes & saute for approximately 5 minutes. Add 1/4 t each of salt & pepper. Stir occasionally.Add your stock & bring to a simmer. Add in the cauliflower - give a good stir & allow soup to simmer for approximately 30 - 40 minutes, or until tender using a med/low heat.Once your vegetables are tender, puree 1/2 your veggies in either a food processor or a blender, and return to the pot. IF you prefer a smooth, creamy soup - puree all of your veggies & return to the soup pot.Add your tumeric, milk and stir. Taste test your soup to see if additional salt or pepper are necessary & adjust accordingly. Heat through.Your soup is now finished. If you are not worried about calories, or have room in your diet for a few more - you can top your soup with a sprinkle of chedder cheese &/or diced ham or sausage.A very hearty soup that can be served as a main meal.
