Chicken 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 bag and a half of mixed frozen vegetables. (I use the kind with carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, it's my favorite)
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup green onions chopped
1 cup celery chopped fine
2 cups whole wheat pasta
1 cup carrots shaved with a peeler, to strips
3 cups tap water
Cumin
Garlic
Salt
Pepper all to taste.
I love putting a bit of Italian seasoning in it as well, makes it feel more comforting to me.

Here is how you make Momma's Make it better soup:

Makes 8 two cup servings, which are more then generousIn your favorite soup cooking pot, put the water, onions, carrots and celery, along with the raw chicken breast. Add in a bit of the seasonings you like, but don't over do it. Normally, this is where I put in my garlic and a bit of salt, with a touch of cumin. Boil this down until the chicken flakes when you fork it, then remove it but save the "broth" and the veggies. In a bowl, use two forks to flake the chicken, shred it as if you were going to use it for filling. In the pot that contains your 'broth' and onions, celery and carrots, put in the two cups of broth, and the bags of frozen veggies. At this point, turn it back up to high and get it at a rolling boil. Toss in the whole wheat pasta, and turn down the heat to medium, until the pasta is tender. Put the chicken back into the soup, and finish seasoning it to taste. I always turn the heat off, and pop a lid on the soup pot and let it cool for a bit like that,so that the flavors mix together a bit more.
