Heat oil in a large,heavy pot. Add leeks and garlic and stir. Add potatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Add artichokes, broth, salt and pepper and cook for about 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Blend the soup in batches until smooth. Add 2 TBSP of Mascarpone and stir until mixed. Serve garnished with mascarpone and chives if desired.
