How Do I Make Lentil Macaroni Soup?

Here is how you make Lentil Macaroni Soup:

In a Dutch oven, coat with Olive oil and saut? the onion and garlic. Cook for approx. 10 minutes; stir occasionally.Add tomatoes puree, broth, lentils, salt, pepper, thyme and water. Heat to a boil, stirring to break up tomatoes. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in spinach and macaroni. Heat to boiling over medium heat, until macaroni is tender. Stir in basil. (Jack and I like to add pieces of smoked turkey sausage to make this a complete meal)Can be placed in small containers and frozen until ready to use.
