3 Cups Chicken Broth (low sodium)
1 Cup Water
1 lb Extra Lean Ground Beef
2 cups Chopped Carrots
Parsley, Onion (or onion powder), garlic powder all to taste


How Do I Make Palouse Lentil Soup?

Here is how you make Palouse Lentil Soup:

Makes 4 servingsPut the water and broth in a pot with the Vegi soup mix, carrots and spices. Turn on hi until it boils. While waiting to boil cook ground beef in a skillet then place in boiling soup mix.OR you can cook ground beef in pot then put in liquid, soup mix, and seasons on top. Bring to a boilOnce boiling cover and reduce to simmer. Let sit for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes check and if there is very little liquid add more 1 cup at a time (differs with where you live and type of stove you use I have learned). Let simmer for 10 minutes and check again, add more water if necessary.After 60 minutes or more it will be ready. Add water until desired consistency, I like mine a bit thick. I usually am fine with 1 cup soup to 4 cups liquid but everyone varies. And like always, the longer it sits the more the flavors meld together and it tastes yummier!
