Here is how you make Light Creamy Potato Soup:

Peel and chop up all vegetables (you can add celery too if you want) and cover with water and bring to a boil covered. Meanwhile, take butter, milk and cream cheese and soften if needed in the microwave. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. When vegetables are cooked for about 12-15 minutes and are soft, drain them and then add the dairy mixture and put on low heat. Stir when needed.
