5 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 onion, chopped
1/8 tsp salt

4 slices swiss cheese
4 Tbsp butter
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup water
salt and pepper to taste

Here is how you make Swiss Potato Soup:

Boil the potatoes, onion and salt with enough water to cover the potatoes, until done, or about 20 minutes. Drain. Cover potatoes with milk... like I said, I estimated that it would be 5 cups so if you use more or less you'll have to put it back into the calculator to get the correct calorie count. Add the swiss cheese and butter to the potatoes/milk and heat until cheese is melted. Blend the cornstarch and water together til smooth and add to soup. Cook until thickened.
