Combine the pumpkin and vegetable stock in large saucepan over medium heat. Mix the flour with the salt and spices. Add 1/4 cup of the milk and mix to a smooth paste. Add the remaining milk and beaten egg. Stir into the pumpkin mixture. Add onion. Cook for 5 minutes over low heat , stirring constantly.
